Course of the trip
- Day 1. Arrive late afternoon, settle in. Welcome aperitif.
- Day 2 (98 km). Morning: discover the Grotte de Remonot and visit Papy Gaby’s Tuyé (large chimney typical of Haut Doubs farms, where hams and sausages were smoked).
Afternoon: visit to the Swiss city of Neuchâtel (train ride to the old town, visit to the Parliament and Castle). - Day 3 (150 km). Morning: visit to the wood craftsman at DERRIERE LE MONT
Afternoon: Musée du plein air des Maisons comtoises, in Nancray, which presents the heritage of Franche Comté in a 16-hectare park. - Day 4 (120 km). A day in Switzerland. Visit Murten, a picturesque medieval town with alleyways, arcades and a magnificent lakeside promenade. Lunch in restaurant. Visit to the city of Bern.
- Day 5 (160 km). Day trip. Morning: visit to the Besançon citadel with a ride on the little train.
Lunch in restaurant. Return via the Loue valley. Stop at Ornans, the town of the painter Courbet, famous for its houses built on stilts. - Day 6 (70 km). Morning: visit to a cheese dairy in Les Fins.
Afternoon: excursion to the Cirque de Consolation, a spectacular limestone retreat with several resurgences, including the 47 m-high Lançot. Exceptional flora in the adjoining park.
Viewpoint from Roche du Prêtre, 850 m above sea level. - Day 7 (160 km). Morning: visit to the Guy distillery. Created at the height of the golden age of absinthe in Pontarlier, then the capital of this mythical aperitif, it was the last distillery to resist the ban on absinthe.
Tasting of various products (aperitifs, liqueurs and eaux de vie). Lunch at the restaurant
Afternoon: excursion to Lake St Point. At an altitude of almost 850 m, it stretches for 6 km across an open, welcoming landscape.
It is the 3rd largest natural lake in France. - Day 8. Departure after breakfast.
